Watched:
Did not watch anything
Reading:
Wrapped up The hunt for the Red October(book, Tom Clancy, 1984)
Learning:
I’m learning more about gradually setting up a homelab using an old laptop, including what kinds of apps I can build and run on the homelab server
From the kitchen:
Mushroom Curry
Side project:
Installed Arch Linux in my wife's old computer

Installed Pi-hole on the old laptop that runs as a 24/7 server. Pi-hole helps with network-wide ad blocking on all devices on all websites, wherever you are, even when you are outside browsing the internet via, say, a cafe's wi-fi. Ads will still be blocked because your internet is routed through Pi-hole, which sits on this old laptop that runs 24/7 on you home.
Created a small Python script that pings ACT Internet every 30 seconds. The data is then fed into Uptime Kuma to check the overall internet strength and connectivity in real time, 24/7.
Listening:
Richard Ashcroft is my favourite singer, after Bono, of course.
